We are looking for a highly motivated intern / trainee (f/m) for an internship of 1-3 months. Your tasks will include, but will not be limited to the following responsibilities: - Prepare and organize transport of works - Prepare, organize and assist openings and private viewings - Contribute to social media campaign planning - Research, write and translate (into French) texts on represented artists - Create exhibition-related information packs - Contribute to the installation / scenography of exhibitions - Monitor the gallery during open hours assist the gallery visitors / overseeing the safety of the artworks
Profiel
- Genuine interest in contemporary art (an art degree or studying art history is an asset) - Fluency in French is desired - Excellent verbal and written presentation skills - Ability to reflect the standards of Dauwens & Beernaert - Ability to work with clients in person and remotely - High degree of organization with ability to multi-task - Commitment to regular and punctual attendance - Flexible working hours when required, including evening and weekend openings - Excellent general IT skills (photoshop / CMS) Background in a commercial gallery / arts institution is an asset.
Aanbod
If you are one of the selected candidates you get hands-on experience in a young emerging gallery. You will closely collaborate with artists and be able to extend your network. You will also receive a reimbursement of travel expenses.
